The 2020 Daren M. Hidalgo Memorial Scholarship recipient is Joel Staub of Dallastown Area High School (DAHS). Joel was a French Horn player and High Brass Captain for the marching band. During his last three years of high school, he worked as private violin teacher and did numerous paid events in the Jubal String Quartet. Joel was a member of the National Honor Society during his last two years in DAHS. He will be pursuing a degree in music education at Ithaca College in New York. Joel is the tenth recipient of the $5,000 Daren M. Hidalgo Memorial Scholarship. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hidalgo family was not able to present the award in person. We wish Joel nothing but success as he embarks on his college journey.
